Letter of Application
A letter of application is written by a jobseeker to secure a position. The writer should attempt to convince the reader that he has qualifications demand for the position and that he is a person of good behaviour and personality. The writer should also know how to sell himself regarding his qualifications and that he should also know that this qualification meet the standard requirements of the employer. A letter of application should be clear, accurate, concise, and persuasive. A successful letter of application depends upon the quality of the letter the writer represents including the physical appearance.
An application letter should have three parts. The first paragraph should indicate the source of information of the job with letter whether it comes from the Ad or from other information. It should also indicate the specific position you’re applying for. The second paragraph should contain personal qualifications, educational attainment, schools attended and work experienced. The last paragraph should ask for an interview at the reader’s convenient time and how you can be reached.
